“Elevator stinks
Please, no stops before my floor
They will think it’s me”
“Brand new area rug
Dog squats - full on eye contact
Carpet cleaner whines”
“Oh no, baking charred!
I’ll call it artisanal
And charge extra”
Catherine has been writing poetry since age 12. She found the page to be a safe space for intense expression in a challenging world. A former drag show mascot, concert and event producer, she now counts beans, writes, and thinks up new magical mystery tours and adventures. She also loves to write spontaneous flash micro-poems inspired by 'Phrase of the Day' in a compulsive quest to win prizes.
